Ms. Bev's Place

Hi there and welcome to Ms. Bev’s Place!  As you’ve probably figured out, I’m Ms. Bev, the center’s director!  Before I tell you a bit about myself, I want to thank you for taking the time to view our website.  If your child doesn’t currently attend Ms. Bev’s Place, you’re likely considering your options for child care.  It means the world to us that we’re on your list of potential providers and I want to encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions.  If your child currently attends Ms. Bev’s Place, I want to thank you for entrusting us with your child’s care on a day to day basis.  We truly love caring for your kids and view them as a member of our family.

As you’re on our staff page, you probably want to know a bit about the staff we have caring for your children.  As for me, I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren and I am very happily married to my high school sweetheart. 

 

I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and I have been providing child care for over 20 years now. For the first 13 years of my child care career, I provided care for children in my home.  Eight years ago, I purchased what is now known  as Ms. Bev's Place. As the owner and director, I handle much of the day to day operation duties, but my passions lie in caring for the wonderful children that attend our center.  In fact, I often serve as a substitute teacher for my staff when they’re out on vacation and  I also serve as the lead teacher for our school age children.

 

At Ms. Bev's Place, we provide a wonderful nurturing environment for the children to learn and grow together. I have a great staff and we are always looking for ways to make your child's day incredible while they are in our care. Because we believe it’s important for you to take part in your child’s daily accomplishments, we provide a daily schedule and our monthly calendars so you will know what we are working on.  This provides you with the opportunity to discuss what your child learned that day and engage in their daily growth and learning.

 

The center is house in a 4,000 sq. ft. building located on 5 acres of land.  With this much space, I always tell parents that we have plenty of room for your child to grow. It’s my philosophy that children have about 5 years before their lives become very structured.  Before they reach that point, we want to give them an opportunity to revel in the time that is their childhood.   As such, we have a top of the line preschool program, but we also take time to play, sing, and dance. Through play we learn to use our imagination, how to treat our friends, how to use our social skills for communication, and we ensure that the children have plenty of time to play outside so not an ounce of that energy goes to waste. 

As a mother and a grandmother, I know a great deal of thought goes into the selection of a child care provider.  I understand that this is one of the toughest and most important decisions you’ll make for your child.  It is truly an honor that you have considered Ms. Bev’s Place in that selection.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
